"The darkness which came from the Mediterranean sea covered the city hated by the Procurator. The hanging bridges connecting the temple with the terrible tower of Antonia disappeared, the abyss fell from the sky and flooded the winged gods over the Hippodrome, the Hasmonean Palace with loopholes, bazaars, caravanserais, alleys, ponds... Yershalayim – the great city, disappeared as if it did not exist in the world. All devoured darkness to scare all living in Jerusalem and the surrounding area. A strange cloud came from the sea at the end of the day, the fourteenth day of the spring month of Nisan."
